Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and other dramatic forms. The mother of her child taught her to sing. She began an intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In her early years as a student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. After 2000, she moved to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she re-located to her present home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have the opportunity to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations, to help keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
